Mission

The detour is a non-commerical, non-profit, community based internet radio station serving not only the Appalachia region, but the entire world. Our mission is to...

1. ...give the radio host full control to say and play whatever they desire.

2. ...bring unheard and a diversity of opinions, news, and music to the region.

3. ...break the format boundaries that have been created by traditional radio.

4. ...allow the community an opportunity to get an uncensored voice on the air.

We strive to contribute to the democratic process through public discourse and promotion of culture.
