Have you ever wanted to do your own music or talk show on the radio but never been able to? The detour features 4 different stations each inviting anyone with an idea for a show to get on the air. In the Tri-Cities, TN area the public is invited to do shows from our studios hosted by the Acoustic Coffeehouse (Johnson City, TN). Not in the Tri-Cities, TN area? No problem! All you need is a computer, microphone, and a music library...and tou can get your show on the air! We provide all of the assistance with configuring your computer, paying the royalties, and training you on using our system to broadcast. You will never be told what to play or say. Interested? detour MUSIC is a legal USA internet radio station licensed with ASCAP, BMI, SESAC and SoundExchange through LoudCity.
detour BLUES is a legal USA internet radio station licensed with ASCAP, BMI, and SoundExchange through SWCast.
The detour was created to give communities around the world an opportunity to get unheard music and voices on the air. Any opinions or views expressed on any show may or may not reflect the views of the station or staff itself. Remember that some shows contain explicit (cursing) language, so viewer discretion is advised occasionally! The detour's audio stream is commercial free. The advertisements that appear on the detour's web site help to pay for the web site space and internet connection.
*A very few of the nationally syndicated shows that the detour play may include a few commercials in their programs. These commercials are inserted by the individual show and not by the detour. The detour does not make any money from the airing of the commercial. The detour is a commercial free radio station, but leaves full control of a syndicated show to their creator to do what they wish.
